I went on a backpacking trip through Yosemite with 10 other people -
Jack, Charity, Tony L., Mark Monty, Stephen, Sabrina, Jackie, Tony,
Pauline, Shoshana, and I. Here is an account of the adventure. We
started off with an 8-hour drive July 1st, Thursday, and arrived in the
wee morning of the next day at Tuolumne Meadows. Friday, the 2nd, was
spent settling in, picking up permits, arranging transportation, and
doing a simple dayhike in the area. Afternoon thunderstorms rolled in.
July 3/4/5 was the actual backpacking where the full group met up and
we took on the High Sierra Trail, approximately 25 miles in 3 days and
2 nights with full packs. Afternoon thunderstorms were prevalent on the
3rd, but then the weather cleared for the better on the 4th and 5th. It
was a great time with many memorable moments and experiences that
unfortunately I can't convey it all. However,
here are tidbits of photos from the trip. I recommend viewing the
slideshow. Enjoy!
